On the 17th of March 2010 Dr. Ahmed Nazif addressed for the first time the CEEBA members . More than 350 members attended the meeting that was also addressed by the chairman of CEEBA Mr. Mahmoud Al Kaissy and the Chairman of BEBA Mr. Hazem Hassan. In his speech the Prime Minister pointed out that the government’s main concern is to improve the standard of living and develop all public services in transportation and the energy sector. “Egypt has the basics to be among the biggest economies and we’re working on that. The economic crisis didn’t affect Egypt’s economic policies; however it entailed some changes that didn’t hinder the economic reform process, as Egypt was one of the few economies that succeeded in getting out of the crisis” ,Nazif added. And among the distinguished guests were H.E. Dr. Youssef Boutros Ghali- Minister of Finance, H.E. Rachid Mohamed Rachid-Minister of Trade and Industry, H.E. Dr. Tarek Kamel- Minister of Information and Communication Technology, H.E. Eng. Alaa El Din Fahmy-Minister of Transportation and H.E. Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr-Minister of Education. The Prime Minister assured that Egypt is a very attractive country for foreign investors and large investment inflows will take place in Egypt during the next month, as Egypt has the potential and good investment opportunities. He declared that there are key sectors that need the cooperation between the public and private sector and more investments in Transportation, Energy, Education and Health sectors. The government is working on maximizing foreign investment in the coming period and pointed that these procedures come within the policy framework to provide incentives and benefits to the investors. |
