With co-funding by the EC InMed Invest programme , CEEBA in cooperation with the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI) and the Belgium Voka Chamber of Commerce led by the Federation of Belgium Chambers of Commerce & Industries have jointly started up Plato networks in Cairo and Alexandria.

Plato is a proven best practice, originating in 1980 in Belgium, but now implemented throughout Europe and Africa. Today, thousands of Belgium and foreign companies have joined Plato networks which help SME owners to professionalize and internationalize. They bring together groups of 15 – 20 SME that meet monthly under the guidance of a mentor. During these meetings, the SME discuss important bottlenecks and issues related to their business in a confidential way. The mentor is the manger of a large successful company.

Plato Egypt will form 3 Plato groups, 2 in Cairo and one Alexandria.
